Deep sea pressure has been created in the Arabian Sea. This low pressure is turning into a cyclone. The cyclone ‘Kiyar’ is likely to move west-north-west to the coast of Oman in 5 days.
India’s central meteorological office has said that deep low pressure will turn into a severe cyclone within 24 hours. However, the chances of the Kieran outbreak on the Indian coast are slim.
The Meteorite reported that deep troughs were created in the East-Central Arabian Sea around 7:30 pm. The deep low pressure will remain in Mumbai about 25 km south of Ratnagiri in Maharashtra and 5 km west-south-west.
Meanwhile, heavy to heavy rain warning has been issued in coastal areas of Konkan, Goa and Karnataka under the influence of low pressure. Heavy rains have been reported in Orissa, Assam and Meghalaya.
